tilt trim light

Hey All I just refurbished (cleaned the garbage off the piston....worm gears are clean and moving the drive freely now) my Electric Tilt and the warning light wont go out even thought the retaining pawls are grabbing and it's all the way down. What makes this light go out ? Did I reinstall it incorrectly ? The outdrive is a 270 volvo with tilt motor ....no trim.

Oh and by the way the sterndrive was completely lowered when I took the trim mechanism off...

Who knows! Not there to look at it. Did you follow the manual and adjust it properly?

Hmmm I did not see an adjustment section. It was simply to follow steps in reverse. Do you know what exactly makes the warning light go out ?
