Tilt trim motor/pump replacement

Just got my boat back from the shop and was told that the motor/pump was running slow due too one of the brushes not working. Can I replace the brushes or should I replace the motor/pump.
If I replace the pump (and as this is my first powerboat) can I purchase this part and where from?

What model is your motor ?----And you would be wise to look up the price of parts / replacement pump or motor.---Then you can decide.
