Tilt/Trim problem on 1998 175 FFI

Just bought this boat and I have encountered this problem:

While motor is in upper end of tilt and you hit the down button, the motor "hops" or "jerks" as it lowers. Doesn't do it every time but about half the time and only during down trimming the motor.

Could it be low of fluid???

think i would check fluid lever and grease all the zerks on the motor.

Okie, You need to fill and bleed the system, with the motor level.

Trim it all the way up, and lock it up. Let her sit 10 min, remove the fill plug and fill with ATF. Run it down and then up and let her sit 10Min. Now refill. Repeat until it runs smooth.
