I got te pump with the plastic reservoir to replace the one with the reverse lock valve.... Probably not a surprise to anyone here the hose fitting doesn't fit in the pump it's too small. What's the solution to this problem. As always thank you for your advice!

Ayuh,... Get the matchin' lines for that pump, to the hyd. manifold at the transom...

They should be the same on that end,...

Sit down before you order them... They're not cheap.

Head on down to Ace Hardware, True Value or a good auto parts store and see if they have adapters that will go between the old lines and the Oildyne pump fittings.

I made the Prestolite/Oildyne swap and the new style lines wouldn't fit into the old manifold, fittings the wrong size. The old lines wouldn't fit into the Oildyne pump either as you found. Luckily, I had a new style manifold that I swapped out to match the new style lines,,, and Oildyne pump.

For the old external reverse lock valve, I bypassed it, filled it with oil and plugged it off. (Still needed it for shift cable anchor points.)
