tilt trim questions

i have a 90 larson with a quicksilver commander contol. i bought this as a project a month ago and am at the end of it. the up solenoid wasn't working so i changed it out tonight but the switchs on the controller are not working. i can hot wire the solenoids and make them go up and down. but the actual switches are dead. i also noticed this wiring problem on the outdrive. i could not find a wiring diagram for these two item and i even downloaded the manual 6. can someone tell me what this is and where the missing wire goes. i have to get back in the and clean all those corroded parts but want it all to work correctly at this point. i put my voltage meter on the terminals to see if the corrosion was the problem but that isn't the case. thanks for the help

you can get the trim stop sensors complete for under $100 a pair on ebay, they are complete with harness, yours looks rotted. downside is you gotts remove the whole OD and those bellows boots to change it. the gimbal svc kit is $136, i suggest doing it while you have it apart, but yes you need those hooked up.

my suggestion is fix whats you can see is obviously junk before posting "why wont it work"

i believe you comment was a little uncalled for, because if you read the text i never said i didn't know why it wasn't working. i said i can't find the diagram of where the wires go to repair it. I know i need to hook them up. i have plenty of spare cable inside i can pull through and trim back. i would just rather have some idea of where they go before just starting to take things apart and guess.

so if anyone else can provide a diagram or some sort of schematic i would appreciate it. I do not have a tilt gauge on the dash in this boat. so i am not sure exactly what the wires on the trim stop sensor do or go.

i know these are a lot of comments. just coming up with stuff as i am working. there are two sensors, one on each side. the port side tab looks really good, can i not just splice them together on the inside of the boat.
