Recently I aquired a powrtran tilt unit.I have a 1980 80hp merc serial# 07146479.I am trying to find out if there is a trim sending unit for this motor,as I want to set it up and wire to trim guage.That way I dont have to keep looking back to see what position the motor is in.Any help will be appreciated,

Some may disagree, but it is my opinion that trim guages have no real value. You trim the motor using your tach and speedo. The position indicated on the trim guage is virtually useless due to different trim settings to compensate for water condition, load, speed, etc. Since you have to look back periodically to check your telltale, why bother with a trim guage.
