RE: TRIM/TILT '96 175 OCEANRUNNER

My '96 Johnson Oceanrunner 175 Trim/Tilt Unit stopped working. The motor is
not functioning. I have tried the manual release but it does not work.

How can I raise the leg manually to be able to remove and replace a new
motor which I have already acquired?

have you taken the time to make absolutely certain it is the motor and not the relays? You could hot wire the old motor or relay-switch the new one. It would be a shame to spend all that effort only to discover it was a five minute fix all along.
