TILT TUBE REMOVAL STEERING ROD FUSED

I GIVE UP TRYING TO GET PUSH/PULL STEERING ROD TO MOVE!!!! HOW DO I GET THE TILT TUBE OUT SO I CAN REPLACE THE WHOLE CABLE ASSY?<br /><br />I CAN WORK THE TUBE 1/3 OF THE OUT [ IT ROTATES OK ] BUT WILL NOT COME ALL THE WAY OUT!!!<br /><br />HOW DO THE PROS DO IT?<br /><br />TX HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!

I replaced mine last weekend and found it would not come out because transom bracket had lowered over time about an inch. Which meant the hole where the cable comes out of the transom was higher. I had to cut the rod at the end of the cable and rout out the hole to make the new one go in straight.<br />That might be your problem too.
