Tilt up or down

Hello all,

I am new here and probably my question will sound stupid.
I recently got Bayliner 1985 v8 5liter. I know that there are many problems with these boats and I would like to avoid it if possible.
I know that during winter I should tilt it down. How should I store it between weekends?
One more question – on low rpm my boat dies couple of times. What that could be?

Tilt down for sure. Take off is the best though.
