I just put a 115 horse outboard yamaha jet 4 stroke on my 16' hewes craft river runner. at first it would porpus real bad even with the engine tilted way down. I then got some metal pieces and put them between the engine mount and the the back of the transom to tilt it back farther. It worked, but my question is does anyone make a special type of shim for doing this, kind of like a tapered wedge. thanks

there are plastic 'horse shoe' wedges used in construction... <br /><br />i'm sure that a fastener/ nut&bolt supply sells them for cheap..
