My E35QLEDC has started to randomly drop a cylinder while running at anything above 2500 RPM and below WOT. If it is at WOT it is fine but if you reduce the throttle speed once the engine is hot it will drop a cylinder intermittently. I am not talking a miss but a solid drop and then it will pick backup again start to run fine and then it will drop a cylinder again. I have checked the stator and the spark is good all three cylinders were good when tested and it idles fine. I am getting ready to order a new power pack the one that is on it is original. I replaced the coils and wires earlier this year because it was starting to miss occasionally last fall. I was hopping to avoid the $350.00 hurting to the wallet. The fuel hose is good and the filters are good and tank is vented and I have used two different portable tanks same thing with either tank. I have checked the carbs and they are all good the regulator/rectifier is good I replaced it last year after the old one burnt up. So unless someone else has another idea I am order the pack.

Re: Time for anew power pack

Well I received my new power pack hooked it up and the engine fired right up. Took it down to the river for a test run and at 2500 RPM the rev limiter is kicking in. Acting like it is in SLOW Mode. I unplugged the temp sensor that had no affect, unplugged the rectifier also no affect. The engine runs fine up to 2500 RPM no misses no nothing all plugs have fire. I would say my new power pack is no good. Opinions anyone.

Seaway Marine it is the BRP part as CDI doesn't offer one under its name for the small triples. I hoping I will be able to exchange it.

Re: Time for anew power pack

I returned the bad power pack to Seaway and there were no issues they refunded my money promptly. I picked up another new power pack and installed that one and the engine runs like it is brand new.
