Here's a pic of the last one (which was also the first one if you don't count the "box" I built when I was 8). It turned out to be an easy rower and I am glad I increased the height as it pays off when it's rough. I can get me (280) my son (250) the dog, cooler, bags etc. loaded and still be stable.

I have 2 moorings so I need 2 tenders. The one above is out at the island so I need to have another for the harbor. I think this time I'll build a pram w/some scarf jointed plywood. The harbormaster has limited me to 10' so that's excactly how big I'll build. I'll document the next one w/pics in case anyone needs some winter reading.

Looks great - Do you visit the glenl.com? Tons of material for the homebuilder there.

Alden,

That's a great looking little boat. Have you thought of using it as a mold to pull off a fiberglass hull? Maybe drape it in plastic sheets, then laminate up a few layers of glass. I think there is a trick to laying plastic sheet over the last layer of glass/resin to give a gel coat smooth finish that doesn't need lots of sanding.

Anyway, just a thought.
