Timing - 7.4L MPI

Hi gang. I have the engine out of the boat. When I removed the distributor the SELOC manual said that once this was done that the engine should not be turned. Well while removing the drive coupler I was not able to get the bolts loose without the engine turning. What will I have to do when I put it back together? Thanks.

don't have the S/N. It's a 99 7.4L MPI (GM)

bump the engine over to number one cylinder on its compression stroke double check with your timing mark on the balancer and drop it in with the rotor pointing to the number one plug wire on your cap set your timing and your good to go
