Hello: I have an 89 Evinrude 70. Was reading your timing instructions and was wondering what the spark tester was for and where you hook it up and what can you make it of? I set mine using your method but did not use the spark tester. What do I do?<br />It did not seem to make it run that much better although it does run better. Seems to want to bog just a little on acceleration, but does not die. I'm sure I just haven't got the timing right yet.<br />Thanks<br />Cal
