Timing link rod 11/16"?

This is on a 1988 135 Black Max. Can anyone tell me where the 11/16" measurement is from? Hard to tell from the picture. Is it from the inside of the nut to the inside of the bent link rod or is it from the inside of the nut to the Center of the bent link rod or is it from the inside of the nut to the outside of the bent link rod? I have a manual ordered but would like to do anything I can until it get's here.

It's the distance from the center of the swival on the trigger to the end of the adjustment barrel (not the nut but the barrel)

Thank you very much! There is nothing I read that says this and without the help from all you guy's on this website it is almost impossible to know what it is the book is talking about. I know now that I'm off on this distance and this could be the whole problem with getting the timing right! Thanks again. Kev.
