timing on a 79 il1400 6cyl.

where do the timing marks line up as im bolting on the new timing belt after the rebuild? im not quite understanding it wanted some more info on it!

The cast arrow on the top of the distributor pulley should point at the TDC mark on the flywheel. It may be 1/2 tooth off. If so set it to the retarded side, and conplete the link and synch.
