ok so i got an issue now with timing.
i put a light on the motor, timing is correct at idle, once i advance the throttle and its hit around 10* i lose the timing marks, i let it go back to idle and the mark is there again. timing light loses marks and even goes to a straight light with no flashing? im going to try another light tonight but did anyone ever have this issue???

Note ---Timing on these motors does not normally go out of adjustment.-----Maximum timing advance is set at the factory for the life of the motor.-----Actual timing when engines idles does not matter.-----Make absolutely sure that you understand what " idle timing " means on this 2 stroke motor.----Do not make adjustments by guessing.-----Finally what is your motor doing / not doing ?----What trouble shooting has been done if any ?

i went through the sync n link per manual, carbs cleaned and new kits. gas tank pulled and cleaned. new fuel lines and water Seperator and in line filter. plugs wires, coils, stator, trigger, regulator, and power pack from cdi. comp is 100-110 on all
starts in qs and is not running on all 6, has a miss, then it comes out of qs and runs pretty good on hose. still dont sound like its running on all six, it will take throttle and response is pretty good on hose, so i talked to cdi and tech says the qs advance timing should be around 12-14* atdc then back to idle at 4* btdc
idle is fine.
when i throttle it i lose the marks at wot, its supposed to be 18*
but at 12* i lose the marks and i can not find them , i didnt look all around the flywheel yet to see where they actually, will be doing that tonight.
scoping cylinders to see if im not getting water in from HG.
ive checked for lines leaking and sucking air throughout the entire motor, pulled carbs back off, sync n link again,
picking up new plugs again tonight as well due to the running like crap and im sure they are fouled by now to. ive ran ql77 and the 78 in it with no change in behavior.
takes the initial throttle for 1-2 secs and falls completely on its face in the water. when i did get it on plane it bogged until 5000rpm and the picked up the lagging cylinders and had a high speed miss?
water getting in motor??
changed trigger twice and power pack twice, i used a ferret timing light set for 2 stroke
i pulled lower off and found a gasket was not any good and leaking by the exhaust spacer
will that cause issues as well?
im lost

Checked the reed valves ?------Possible issues with crankcase sealing rings.-----Winding it up on a hose means nothing.----It will do that running on 3 of 6 cylinders !---Put boat in the lake go for a spin.-----Use a timing light hooked up to 1 cylinder at a time.----Monitor the flash of the light.----Block spots mean a spark issue.----Next you remove the cover in front of carburetors.----Put boat up to full throttle on the lake.----Use a STRONG flashlight and observe fuel coming up the main nozzles.------Compare them.

Each carburetor feeds one crankcase and one cylinder only.-----If there is an issue with fuel flow in a carburetor it will be obvious.----I used that simple trouble shooting with a flashlight way back in 1975 and even before that.

The motor isn’t even starting correctly with the quick start
I’m trying to address that issue first
I’ll post you a video today off a cold start
Maybe that will help
Cdi electronics tech told me the timing on start up should be better 12-14* steady at 1500rpm
Mine is idling irrationally and the timing is above 18*
When it comes out of qs it’s just not correctly running at all

What trouble shooting has been done ?----Or just replacing parts ?-----Post actual compression values here.---Flywheel magnets checked ?
