Hello again. Well.. Town had a yearly cleanup weekend, and on my way out a guy drives by with an old aluminum starcraft 12 or 13' on his truck to recycle..I had it loaded and home before he could even blink an eye, but i may have been a bit hasty. He said it leaks some. um..yeah. He must have removed the aluminum piece underneath that runs the length, (keel?) and under that, he put roofing tar the entire lenth, then screwed it back together. I had a good laugh until i realized how much of a pain that stuff is to remove. ANyhow..Under there it looks like there are 3 peices to the hull. The main body, underneath a piece that runs the length that is crunched together with gaps here and there where they meet, and then the (keel?) piece that covers it all. Firstly, i wanted to make sure the section that runs the length under the keel piece is supposed to have seperations in it that are covered by the other piece, and when i finally do get the tar completely off it, What is the best way to re-attach that piece i am calling the keel piece? Hopefully this makes sense. I will take some pics tonight to clarify if im not making any..
