prepping for new season in florida.

dropped the gearcase oil.

both magnets have tiny shards attached to them.

oil condition dark but void of contaiminants (besides the fine shrapnel)

never heard a noise or grind from unit, in/out of gear sharp and clean.

Would this be considered normal wear after a full season of use?

small burrs are normal, chunks are not. when you shift do it in a quick, swift, deliberate movement. shifting slowly, wears the gears.

I'm with TD on this one.
Fast shifting for sure. Seen a few that thought slow shifting was better with problems with the lower units.
