I was going to post this in my main resto thread, but i figured i would post this separately since it is a general tip for everyone getting ready to do some glassing.

when you finally order and receive all your supplies, and you open that bucket of the 1/4" chopped glass fibers to see just how finely chopped it is...

DON'T SNEEZE!!!!!!!

it opens a direct portal to the lower levels of HELL!!! Where all you will know and feel is an eternity of pain and suffering that no amounts of alcohol can subdue.

Thank you, this has been a Public Service Announcement brought to you by the "Oh, CRAP!!!" moments in our lives.

Most people don't sneeze just once. Most are twozees, some are threezees. I can just imagine if you double tapped on the sneezing. OMG.

Sea ya...

hence the overstatement of need for PPE when dealing with fiberglass. even in the mixing, laying, etc. stages.

i think the disclaimer should read "Full PPE gear must be worn at all times when you are within 300ft of any glassing supplies"

Gesundheit!

I don't think this was a part of the informational packet that came w/ my decision to purchase a glasser in need

I see visions of you working on upholstery in a snow-globe like workshop/garage:rolleyes:

The real question is did you Hoover up the blow out & put it back in the can?

The dyson reclaimed most of it.

If you don't mind a re-enactment, you might consider a video to send to Dyson for promotional purposes. The iBoats YouTube highlight reel? AFV?:D
