Probably an old, overasked question, but didn't find much about this searching, and I'm new.....
I've got an old trailer that uses 8" wheels. I'm looking for replacement wheels, but as you know, in 8" tire land, ALL the replacement tires are just horrible (unless someone can direct me to a quality built 5.70-8 tire.)
So, I've found a passenger radial tire, 145-10, that has the same load rating, obviously higher speed rating, and is almost the exact same overall diameter as my mounted 8" tires. (Overall diameter is very important as the fenders on the trailer are stylized and don't really want to get rid of them.)
Good or bad idea?
