Talk to the local motor vehicle department or visit them online. Most states have all this info on their website. What you have to do varies from state to state.
Florida isn't too strict. Lots of boats here. You will need a bill of sale with the hull number, engine serial number, amount paid, trailer number, etc. I think you can get a standard form online from the FL DMV.
