titleing

trying to title a 40 year old motor i recently purchased out of state (ebay)
live in Missouri and have to deal with two Dept's to register thats why questions

1. serial number on transom bracket does not match yr and model of motor

2.serial # on freeze plug which is what my state says it goes by according to evinrude is for something completely different i believe there records are wrong on this one so really unsure what to register as to yr - model - hp

well, post the numbers if you want help. parts get changed, replaced, power head changed.
