First off........WELCOME TO IBOATS !

This is the best place for anything boats on the net.
It is one of the most respectful and family friendly forums on the internet.

It is sometimes referred to as "boat university". iboats can answer your question. If it is "my motor wont work" to "how come my foot goes thru the floor"?

iboats gurus can shed light on almost any boat topic.

One thing that helps tremendously.....Is if you have your location posted in your profile information.

Unlike other forums.....this will give us useful information, that will help us help you !

Things like, where you boat, in the ocean or on a lake? If your boat needs winterizing or even if there is an iboater near you that can help with details about the dock or ramp you launch at.

If you are posting in the "dry dock" the restoration section....please include pictures...

Here is a link to instructions for posting pictures.

Re: To all new iboaters.

As a relatively new member, I've been disappointed that many (most?) members have not included a description of their boat (year, mfr, length, engine). I find it helpful to know the background of a member giving advice. Perhaps this should be a required field when applying for membership. I'd like to make some suggestions to the moderator(s) via private message, but have not been able to access a list by forum. - Grandad

And can we stress the importance of the "search" feature? A lot of problems could be handled this way prior to posting the question again in a forum. In most cases, your answer is probably already out there.

It's not that anyone minds answering again or helping out, but it could save you a lot of time and headaches.

I fixed it after you posted :(

I don't even know you and now I hate you  :D

Actually, the grammar (BTW...it's grammar, not grammer ;)) and punctuation was fine, but the spelling was terrible! Stupid fat fingers and little keys!!
