I have one cylinder that is pretty scored. How do I know if it's beyond repair of boring? It s a 1995 90HP v4 crossflow.

I think the largest oversize pistons are .030. But if it's deeper than that I'd scrap it. Take it to a machine shop and have them check it.

Bombardier makes a factory .040 over piston assy (with rings). P/N 5006704. If you go with these, you may want to consider increasing the main jet size to compensate.

You can get aftermarket pistons as big as .064 over...

If you bore the bad cylinder to accommodate a larger than stock piston, (over .040,) you need to replace the other 3 at the same time so that they are all from the same manufacturer. (Don't mix pistons from two manufacturers in the same block.)
