Wow.
what a wealth of information. Great stuff. Now for one more Question. I just purchased a party barge, with a 1988 fifty force on it. Was or is these made by marine of good quality? I got the old barge at a nice low price and just wonder if I should junk the barge (needs new floor :confused:and carpet) and sell the motor or if it is worth putting back in the water. Motor runs very nice , has new pump and prop, controls are in good shape. Its just that the old barge is 28 feet. although it has no leaks and is not beat all to pieces , It could make some one a cheap floater with lots of hours yet. just would like to hear some comments from fresh minds. thanks a lot to all. PJG.:)

.... i would think if the motor runs great your 50% of the way there. Does the barge fit your needs? If the vessel is in good shape as you say and only needs a new deck might be worth doing and selling as a whole to get what you really want.

Good luck!
