Not really, but what you need to find out is what the coast guard capacity plate says versus what your putting on the boat AND what the local state laws are.....Here in Florida it's pretty much what ever blows your skirt up.
Well I live in Nebraska I have never had anyone ever ask for the papers on it let alone check that. 140 is what the plate states as max. As far as laws go.... they don't tend to check in the little lakes around here. Insurance is not required nor does anyone get it around here. I didn't think it was to much but wanted to check with more experance
If thats the case up there, "go dude it!", jus' keep in mind the extra weight added and subtract that from the total capacity for the boat to arrive at what you can still carry. Keep an eye on how the boat balances...might have to move a battery to the bow. Make sure the transom is up to snuff.
