To use sand as a traction aid or not...

I am restoring a 1959 Starcraft 15 footer and am putting in a cedar tongue and groove floor. I am using a layer of epoxy and them a few coats of marine spar varnish for UV protection. Do I need to sprinkle sand on the last coat for traction?...Will it look goofy on such a nice floor?

You dont want sand ..

Sprinkle it on while the varnish is still wet ( the varnish will cover it up ) ..
