That is the question!!

Now for the backstory......

I bought a nice Hyperlite Scape 116 wakeskate towards the end of last season. After less than an hour in the water the plywood started to delaminate. Local dealer (Boat Works in Taylorsville, KY) handled it spectacularly. The replaced the board at no cost to me, and offered up a much nicer board as a replacement to ride until my new one showed up. I kindly passed on that, and they let me continue to ride my board until the end of the season. They had an open house with the Hyperlite rep a few months late (december maybe?) and I went out then and talked with the Rep. I can't remember his name to save my life, but he's a pretty cool guy, and also handled the problem with great service. Took my board, replaced it at no charge, and then even had the ability to remember me at the boat show in early February. I'll definately continue to buy from them, based on service alone..........TO cut the rest of the story short, my new board arrived last week. I eagerly went to pick it up, and have it at home now sitting in the corner begging to be ridden. I still have a few weeks until I can get riding full time again though, so I've got to wonder about protecting my new ride.

SOOOOO.......

Should I wax my new board or not? My gut says it's certainly not going to hurt the finish, but then again I just started riding last year, and don't have a ton of experience with these things. Will a couple coats of turtle wax hurt it? If I should wax it is there a special wax I should go seak out and apply?

Any thoughts from the resident experts? Thanks in Advance.
