Today whilst I was at lunch the electricians took down 2 of the low bay lights (3 amp start, 2 amp run) as they were "takin too much juice".
They replaced them with a string of 12 caged 100 watt incandescents.

Now who who like to do the math on this story problem?

Re: Today's Electrician Update

That should be about 10amps/run now.
Were they kidding or do they have a different agenda (light bulb sales?).

Those aren't electricians. They're just wire-pullers. Get rid of them before they burn your project down.

You need to understand this tidbit.....

the project is in Panama City Beach FL.....
if they burn it down, Oh Well.....I'll have to start all over ;)

Living in a beach house down here, I think I could stay longer.

Not that I can really understand them (one talks just like Boomhauer on King of the Hill), but I am thinking perhaps since the new additions have physically smaller bulbs, they are convinced they therefore draw less "juice" (or water, but they haven't brought that up for a few days)

Just trying to add some culture ;)
Thought so, but me Aussie friends always use whilst and I thought just maybe. Aussie's would also lose it with your Excellenticians . . .

You need to hire some real electricans. Construction electricans are good for pulling wire and running conduit as long as they have a print. A real electrican can trouble shoot and think.:p

Yeah, I have had my share of problems with construction electricians in the past. I don't even know if that title is appropriate for them.

See post 6.

Yeah, I know, but still, you want to make a good name for yourself out there... to get more projects like this going in places like that.

Plus, the stress of dealing with people like that offsets any relaxation gained from the location.

Bomar knows all about stress, how do you think he lost all of his hair? And that's just his high school year book photo!
