I am in the process of converting an 20hp short shaft electric start with PTT (MFS20C EFTS) to remote control. I have pretty much finished the conversion to remote throttle and shift (installing the SRC kit etc.), but am having a hard time figuring out the wiring for the power tilt. More specifically, I can't quite seem to figure out how to connect the PTT switch on the RC unit back to the PTT solenoid like it is shown in the wiring diagram (PTT supplement manual). The diagram shows an additional switch in the cowl that has extra connectors for RC unit's leads which I don't have on my model. Instead, all I have is the switch that comes installed on the tiller handle which does not include the extra connections.
Is there a connector that goes from the RC leads to the solenoid without the cowl switch or any way to wire it manually? I don't really want/need the cowl switch but if that is the only way, can someone tell me the part number because I couldn't find it in the parts book. Finally, the PTT switch shown in the manual has a triangular three-way connector while mine (tiller switch) has a flat connector. Is this just a newer connector, or will I also need to get a triangular plug to connect to the solenoid?
Thanks,
