I'm totally a newbie and first time to change oil. How much engine oil do I need to complete an oil change? Based on that, I'd like to buy an amount enough for 2-3 times of change.

Thanks!

According to the specifications page in the owner's manual, it's 450 ml (15.2 fluid ounces). There's also a section which gives details how to change the oil in the manual as well. You should be sure and find a good quality marine outboard oil (not car oil). Most major brands now have an "FC-W" approved rating on them.

Always use the dipstick to determine the correct fill level. Never just dump in the amount specified in the capacities table -- you will probably over-fill, due to the fact that some old oil remains when you drain the crankcase. Never go above FULL. Never even a drop. Half-way to 3/4 on the dipstick is fine. Run Non-synthetic, 10w-30, FC-W oil. If you are in a really hot climate, 10w-40 is OK.

Change the LU lube at the same time. Also a good time to inspect/re-gap/change the spark plug.

The specs are in the owner's manual. If you don't have an owner's manual, d/l one from http://www.tohatsu.com/tech_info/manuals.html

Based on Tguy and pvanv's replies, I know how much oil I's suppose to purchase (and know manual is my best teacher :)) and what to watch when changing the oil. Great help! Thank you.
