tohatsu 40d mountings

Is there an easy way to change the lower mountings of this engine ?
must i remove the power head?

Depends on how lucky you are. In theory you can get to them by using a pry bar...Generally, unless you know what you are doing, you would be better off letting Grog do this job with one of his stone hammers.
