I bought a 50 TLDI Tohatsu last January, ran it enough to break it in last spring and it recently has started running rough and missing at high speed. Called the dealer and he said to change the spark plugs first, change the gas ( I don't use ethanol gas) and double check the battery. He said the spark plugs often foul after the first few hours of operation. Does this sound correct? How long should the spark plugs last? Can they be cleaned & reused?
