Tohatsu controls...

I have what I believe is a set of Tohatsu controls but unsure. The entire control/cable/wiring harness set-up was removed from a Tohatsu rigged boat and has a remote key switch, Tach, and trim gauge that are marked Tohatsu. The controls however are a basic grey/black rectangular trim plate with a handle that has the trim button with a light grey lock-out tab. No branded markings of any kind except a "singapore" oval sticker atop the casted frame and a sticker noting it meets USCG requirements of 33 CFR Part 183, Subpart L are present. The control has two "three wire" pigtails with factory bullet connections.

The controls are badly weathered and the mounting seems convuluted for my retrofit. Can anyone shed some light on what I have and what newer Tohatsu controls/harness will work for the integrated Tach/trim gauges?

TIA

Re: Tohatsu controls...

In order to get the correct new Tohatsu control box, we will need to know what motor it is intended to control.

The motor is a M50D2. Upon further inspection...one of the controls three wire pigtails were spliced red-red, dk blue-lt blue, and green-pink.

Re: Tohatsu controls...

Thanks Guru! Looking at the part# I had assumed a "RC3" control would be correct. After some online parts guide surfing I see that infact the "RC5A" is the correct control. Those things do not appear to be just laying around nor inexpensive!
