Tomas 18 h.p.

I hope someone can help me. I have an 18 h.p. Tomas outboard. I believe they are Yugoslavian. The relay for the starter has burnt out and I can't get a replacement anywhere. Does anyone know where I might get one or if there is an alternative ? Thanks.

Maybe there is somebody here that knows something about a Tomas. But it sure isn't me. However, it seems strange that you can't find a starter relay, or a suitable substitute. I mean, they aren't rocket science. Is there something odd about the mount or shape, or something? How about a picture?

The engine is in my father in laws shed at the moment. I will try to get a picture of the relay . Thanks.

was doing some reading and someone on a blog suggested those sites. I had google translate but still couldnt figure anything out.

Well I could pick out a few words that I could understand, but some that were very clear were: There is no official spare parts service from Tomos any more.
