I didn't really need more projects. But, couldn't pass up such a good deal. I got a 1966 P-14 w/ original trailer and a 196? Lone Star Biscayne, all for $50! They're both projects, but not terribly extensive. Hulls are in great shape. Just need clean up and some old wood replaced and such. A few small holes on the Biscayne that need filled and it'll need a windshield. The P-14 is nearly cherry. The old floor is kind of rough and I'm going to pull it up and replace it. But, doesn't appear to be any water damage. I'm a happy camper...... with too many projects!! lol

Re: Too good to pass up....

I'll put some up soon. I forgot to take some before I started cleaning them up a bit. I tore the old carpet out this weekend. That and all the leaves filled a 50 gal. trash can! I'm very pleased that both hulls are in great shape! A few small dings that I'll fill with Marine-Tex and sand before painting. I'll need to rebuild the compartments in the aft of the P-14, only because the existing wood had no finish and I'll need to replace one small section of plywood floor on the LoneStar. All the rest is in great shape. It also needs deck fittings and a steering wheel. Not sure if I'll try to rebuild the LoneStar seat boxes or just replace them with some new plastic ones.

Update: Here's the pics. The LoneStar is sitting on the trailer that belongs to the P-14, because I unloaded the P-14 and used the trailer to pick up the LoneStar. I'll be looking for another trailer. I cleaned the leaves and old carpet out of them both. Other than that, these are the gems I got for $50.

Isn't it though! I've run into a couple other guys from Idaho on here, too. One from up north and another from somewhere around here. We might have to start an Idaho chapter! lol
