$300 bucks for an after market stator, and he said my cd box must be replaced I have a 1977 johnson 35 hp, this seems steep. Is this a fair price??

Depends on electric start or manual start. If the stator is bad,how does he know pack is bad, unless pack is melted?

it's electric start and he wants $600 for the whole job, box and stator

The stator was 247.58, and pack 72.08 price list dated May 2002. There has been more price changes since then. I would guess no more then 3 hours flat rate, depending of over all condition of engine.

as supected.. stator 77/35hp is 341.50 cdn<br />and the control box is 110.00/120.00. back out the us exchange 40/43% . u will see the us price

I tried the Shad Connection once and I don't like them. They didn't have the item I requested in stock so instead of telling me, they just didn't send it. I wasted 2 weeks waiting for a part that never came.
