Tool for prop tab removal Mercruiser?

Somebody bent all the tabs all the way down on my latest project and am getting frustrated.......had Mercurys all my life and don`t remember it being a big deal. I`m about to manufacture something,I think.

Can't you just pry them up with a screw driver??? Merc has a special tool to lift them, the tool looks like pliers. What engine/ Drive do you have???

I just 'hook' the tab with my bent nose pliers...and pull.

I would buy some cheap pliers and then get a grinder and a cut off wheel to make your own tool.
