i have a 1976 35 hp evinrude and the top cyl is fouling and not running on it at all because when i pull the plug wire it does nothing and when i pull the bottom it dies instantly. So the compression is 120 psi on both cyl, the spark will jump an easy 1/4 inch on both cyl, the point gap is exactly .020 on both sets, swapped coils and spark plugs with no change. the spark plug comes out really clean so im prretty sure the gas is just cleaning it off. What is the purpose of the oil recirculation hose going from the intake to the top of the intake side of cyl. I took it lose and ran it thinking it might be flooding it out but nothing changed.
