Some models offer TRIM, and some offer TRIM & TILT. What is the difference? I'm looking at a Teleflex Top mount control.

TRIM is as high as the outdrive can Safely be run.........

TILT is Anything Higher than TRIM...........

How High do you want to raise it, while your hand is on the controller ??????

Just to add to Bondo,s post....Trim is used to adjust boat altitude, and help plane. Tilt is used to bring leg up for trailering, or kepping it out of the water when docked.

Jim

Re: Top Mount Control

Thanks guys. I have a 140 Suzuki, so I will need the control with tilt & trim. On these controls, is the wirering standard [color coded] for the t & t connections?
