Thinking about a rebuild on a older Sportcraft fiberglass runabout.

The outer top coat has cracks all over it.
Should I repair or ditch.
If repair what, when and how .

Re: topcoat cracks ?

Welcome to iBoats!
R U wanting to Gelcoat or Paint? Makes a big difference on the prep. With that much checking however, I would seriously consider sanding down to bare glass and re-Gelcoating or looking for another project. I suppose you could sand, powerwash, acetone wash and fill wil 3M filler and then Paint but not sure if it would hold up very well.

I'm just sayin...:D

Like he said, its not easy to repair crazing.

The problem is the gel coat wasn't applied correctly and no matter what you do to try and fix it, the crazing will reappear on the surface unless you completely sand the gel coat off.
