Ok after a rough week, I believe that i will be able to assemble my heads on my engine today. I was just going through the procedures in the manual and could not find a Torque setting for the rocker studs. Not the nuts I know that they are 22ft/lbs however I am hoping that some one has the torque specs for the actual studs into the head.

and just a little point, so that in case it crops up again i would be prepared.
I was very surprised to find that the thread on the rocker stud, the end that goes into the block is a metric thread. its 10mm X 1.5mm pitch. should i expect to find metric measurements anywhere else on this american engine.

thanks

Well, as we can't guess what engine you have, you must tell us.

Engine Make, Year and type/model etc..

Re: Torque requirements of rocker studs

Sorry Sir, I probably need to read these manuals from cover to cover again. I have a seloc manual and also a recently downloaded Merc manual and i honestly searched all the areas where they speak about head removal and replacement and i did not see this. this means that i need to be reading it some more.
Thanks much though. I guess i am now getting accustomed to how things are set out in this type of manual.
