Re: Torque Shift Props

I checked these out years ago (actually it was Quicksilver's for Mercruiser) and really was interested.

Couldn't get one for my Mercury with 4.25" gearcase and Land & Sea doesn't offer it either so I've sortta dropped the idea.

Looks impressive although it's expensive

No, I'm getting an error from the site.

Still I have faith in it since the investigation I made then.

The only drawback I heard of was that it needs to be used - tends to get stuck from marine growth if sitting too long.

If I remember right, I think Bondo uses one of those props, he spoke highly of it. maybe he'll see your post and reply in person.

You're interest may fade a bit when you get the price.

Yes, the price is extreme. When I checked the Quicksilvers (not a discount brand, 'eh?) I thought it had a printing error on the price tag.

Once I realized that it wasn't available for my motor I just lost interest.

BTW: In our market a HighFive sells for $991 and the shifting prop is even more (yes, nine-nine-one -ninehoundredninetyone US dollars for a 5-blade stainless original Quicksilver prop for 4.25" gearcases - and thats after the latest reduction as it was $1190  )
