Torque specs for lower unit???

After placing the LU back on my Merc 800, is there a specific torque for the bolts that connect the LU to the motor? Or do I just put it on good and tight, but not too tight? Thanks!

You will feel by hand the proper torque for this. Thes are shock forged bolts and should be tightened (hard to explain) to where, when, you take them out of again, you are comfortable. I check everything all the time and have had one or 20 outboards. Feet cost money. Once familiar with removing it, have a friend come over for a beer, promise to take him for A fish, and have piece of mind, and make sure your motors blood is pumping. <br />Capt.
