Hello,

I recently purchased 06 Stingray with a 135hp 3.0 Litre Mercruiser i/o and found the motor mount nuts to be loose on the studs. They are pretty big and don't even have a socket to fit on them and had to use a cresent wrench but wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head what a torque spec would be so I can get them tightened down properly? Also anyone know what size nut that is and it its metric or standard as I will have to buy a socket for it. Would appreciate any info you might have. Thanks!!

The book I have says 30-40 ft lb front and rear. Sounds like good and snug to me and not too critical.

Just tighten them down. Chances are you won't have a way of hooking a torque wrench to them anyway. Getting to them at all on some boats is next to impossible.
