I am going to be installing a head on a Volvo Penta 3.0l GPE 2007 model year. What should the bolts be torqued to, and what is the exact process? Do I have to torque to a certain setting then go to the final? Also, what is the proper tightening sequence? Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Torque specs

The tightening pattern is specific and must be followed, tightening is usually done in 4 steps.
eg. 20,40,60,85
take your final torque value and divide by 4

Do you know what my final torque value should be?

Re: Torque specs

If you really have a 2007 engine and not just a 2007 boat, then here is from a 2007 Volvo OEM service manual.

A FULL model number or a serial number will find out EXACTLY which engine you have.
