Torque specs

Hi I have a 1996 volvo penta 5.0fl motor and was wondering what the torque specs are for the manifolds and risers please. Thank you

So my motor is 20 years old and I had to replace my manifolds on my 1996 volvo penta 5.0fl motor. I can't get the old metal gaskets off the block. What can I use to remove the old gaskets off my block to put the new manifolds and gaskets on.thank you

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... Standard torque for 3/8" bolts/ nuts is 30- 35ft.lbs. but I just use my calibrated elbow for good, 'n tight,.....

For cleanin' off the old gaskets, a putty knife, 'n then a rol-lock disc is what I use,.....

What is a rol lock disc.i never heard of that and what torque are the riser bolts supposed to be set at .and what am I torturing the manifold bolts to.the riser and manifold bolts are gunna be brand new.

Ya know, you REALLY need to quit asking the same question. Your answer is hear for the torque and how to remove. If you want to get noticed again just post "Bump" and it will bring your question back to the top

BTW a rol-rock disk, is a roll lock disk, and also called a flap sanding disk. Google it, the image will explain it

18 ft-lb for the 5/16" riser bolts

or use a calibrated elbow

if you oil the threads or add sealant, you need to reduce the torque spec accordingly
