Is the motor mounted in the center of the transom?

Does boat sit level in the water?

Does the motor turn too freely? There is a tightening bolt on the midsection.

Welcome aboard, cpierce This was moved out of an antique thread, so this one is for you.

Turning the trim anode full right will make it torque right. Rotate it until it's only slightly right and fine tune it from there.

i started with it in the center and slowly move it in small increments and it ended up full right, but i did trim the motor down from the third hole to the 4th hole and it made i big difference but torque is still there. also i am going to replace the prop anyway but as i measure it say 10.5X13P on your site i see 10.3/8x13P no 10.5. it is a 1986 25HP merc, will the 10.3/8 be ok for it?

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,.... The prop Pitch is the important number,....

The difference in diameter is pretty much irrelevant,....
