have a 1990 115 inline 6 mercury outboard. all last year it ran great. i took it out today and it ran like a champ, after about 25 minutes it started to lose power. at idle it does fine, but if you take it up over 1500 rpms it starts to bog and will not go over 2200 rpms. i didn't add fuel stabilizer or drain the carbs last year (DA move i realize).

I don't mean to sound like an a$$, but if you have an inline 6 115, it can't be any newer than 1988. As for your problem with it, others with more information about this motor will chime in soon.

Giving the serial # might be helpfull though.

Hope you can get that beast of yours running right soon.

Craig

Sounds like you need to clean & rebuild the carbs., then power tune the engine. Run some fresh gas through it with carbon guard, or sea foam, or some such product & go from there. Good luck Joe
